Children love watching seeds germinate. This is true especially when seeds are sprouting quickly. Alfalfa is an easy-to-grow plant that can develop within a week. To observe the seeds sprout you can sprinkle some alfalfa seeds onto a piece of paper towel that is damp.
What you’ll need
A package of Alfalfa seed (about 1.5g).
A small plate or saucer
Three pieces of paper towel
A spray mister or small water container
How to grow
Make sure to wet three pieces of paper towel, then lay them on top each other flat on a table.
Remove the water from the plate. The paper towel needs to be damp, however the seeds must not be floating in water.
Place the seeds in a uniform manner on the towel.
To prevent the paper towel from drying out, place it on a window filled with water. It is possible to use spray bottles or misters to moisten the seeds or تقاوي حشيشة السودان you can add a small quantity of water into the saucer using an ice cube or a small cup.
Everyday, look over your seeds to see if they’re growing.
Troubleshooting
Alfalfa can be a very easy to grow seed that should be able to germinate in between 2 and 6 days. Here are a few things to keep an eye on in the event that your seeds do not germinate within this time.
Too dry Seeds need water to grow. Alfalfa seeds absorb about 50% of their weight in water before they begin to germinate, making the appearance of swollen. Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa to grow is 20-25 degrees Celsius. If you’re cultivating your seeds during winter, keep them in a warm area indoors. If you’re growing your seeds in very warm temperatures, it is possible to water them more often because they’ll dry out more quickly.
